Our Letterboxing Experience...

Do you know what letterboxing is? We certainly didn't. At least not until last weekend when a friend shared it with us. Basically, you get a stamp (or make one) that is suited to your personality and a book to stamp in (you might need some ink too), and you go on a scavenger hunt. This is great for children ages 6 to 12 (fun for adults too)... AND, this is all over the country! So whether you are close to home or on vacation, you can log onto Atlas Quest and see where you might be able to grab some clues for a scavenger hunt ... you can collect stamps from all over the nation!

Jared taking a break at the "big rock" to read about his next clue.

Oh look! We found it! Shhhh! We won't tell anywhere where this is ...
The Little Hiker stamp ... hand carved. Awesome! We had fun finding it!

We took our 3 grandkids to find the 'Little Hiker' today - also their very first letter-box. It was a little drizzly but a lot of fun. Hopefully, they'll be able to find some letter-boxing opportunities near their home in Cookeville. Let us know if you find some more in this area that are appropriate for ages 4-9. Nancy Kissell
